Part one of a two part series providing an introduction to exhibition development and design, targeted at small community museums and local history groups. This session will cover the planning and development processes needed to turn an idea into an exhibition, including developing your concept, exhibition planning documents and writing exhibition text.

Kitty Owens is a freelance history curator who delivered the Roving Curator Program for AMaGA Victoria from 2014-2019. Kitty has worked in curatorial roles for the Koorie Heritage Trust, University of Melbourne and the Arts Centre, and has recently undertaken creative heritage interpretation projects for the City of Moreland, and curated a postal exhibition about Edgars Creek, for the Friends of Westgarthtown.
