Researching with PROV

Targeted at curators with an interest in Victorian history, this workshop, presented in partnership with the Public Record Office of Victoria (PROV) will provide training on how to undertake research using the new PROV collection catalogue. The session will provide orientation on finding records that are useful for contextual research including, photographs, maps, plans and correspondence both online and onsite. There will be a particular focus on new digitised photographic collections including:  the Harbour Trust Collection (7000+ images relating to ports, harbours and related activities); the Education Department Promotional Branch Collection (18,000 images); Public Buildings Collection (6000 images).
