Victorian Collections Day [Past Event]

Tue 28 Jun, 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

A full day of information and discussions aimed at assisting the community collecting sector to achieve the best care for their collections.

Hear from museum and gallery industry experts on topics including collection management, cataloguing and digitisation. Talks will cover ways to approach these topics with small budgets in mostly volunteer organisations, ideal for the small-medium groups who use VC to catalogue their collections.

This year, key topics include:

  • Meeting legal requirements when working with Aboriginal cultural heritage collection items
  • Cross-collection connections and collaboration
  • Cataloguing gallery collections
  • VC CMS’ custom record categories
  • AMaGA Victoria’s Bushfire Recovery Project

Morning and afternoon tea are included in the ticket price. If you have any dietary or access requirements, please note these when making your booking.

For any questions about VC Day, contact the Victorian Collections team by submitting a ticket to our Helpdesk.
