To fill the gaps left by the recent cancellation of face-to-face training and events AMaGA Victoria is working in partnership with the National Office to provide a series of online webinars, workshops and tutorials. We are in the process of converting  previously scheduled in person events to digital platforms, whilst introducing a series of more responsive events. All events will be added to this page as they are confirmed.

Whilst the AMaGA Vic team is working remotely, we  are contactable via email. If you have any events / PD questions, concerns or requests please email cmallard@amagavic.org.au.

Silver Linings 3: Now Normal to New Normal

Thu 11 Jun, 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

In the middle of May ENVi wrote a description for our next Silver Linings session: As our cultural organisations and workplaces reimagine themselves in a variety of reopening scenarios we take a moment to consider what programming might look like in a post-pandemic Victoria. But the future has come sooner than everyone thought, and ‘reimagining’ is not the leisurely, considered approach we thought it might be. Join us again on Zoom to consider what we might keep and what me might work with and the imminent possibility that the general public and school groups are back. We invite you to attend our third in this COVID-inspired-series with an open mind, generosity of spirit and willingness to support your peers.

This presentation will be introduced by Christine Healey, ENVi President and Incinerator Gallery. Conversation facilitated by Michelle Kiag, National Trust of Australia (Victoria) with Sue Burgess, Shrine of Remembrance and Andrew Hiskens, Museum Consultant.  Hosted by Celia Mallard, Australian Museums and Galleries Association Victoria.

For now, please continue to share your best COVID-19, learning and working from home memes and helpful articles with us on Facebook.

A link to Zoom will be emailed to registered attendees prior to the meeting. You can try the Zoom Test Room earlier if you are keen to see how it works.
