Call for nominations: Victorian Museums and Galleries Awards 2021

We're very pleased to announce that nominations for the 2021 Victorian Museums and Galleries Awards are now open.

This is your chance to nominate a special individual or organisation for excellence and celebrate the achievements of the sector in what has been a very challenging environment.  

The nomination process is now online. It's simple, free, and open to both members and non-members, so why not nominate? Winners receive prizes and a tailored media pack to promote their Award in the media.

Nominations are invited in the following categories:

INDIVIDUALS

  • AMaGA Victoria Award for Excellence (volunteer)
  • AMaGA Victoria Award for Excellence (paid staff)
  • Martin Hallett Award for individual contribution to Community Heritage

Individual Award winners receive a professional development pack valued at over $400.

ORGANISATIONS

  • Archival Survival Award for volunteer-run museums or galleries (up to 1 EFT paid staff) 
  • Archival Survival Award for small museums or galleries (2-7 paid staff)
  • AMaGA Victoria Award for medium museums or galleries (8-50 paid staff)
  • AMaGA Victoria Award for large museums or galleries (51+ paid staff)
