Regional Collections Access Program (RCAP)
Announced recently by the Victorian Minister for Creative Industries Danny Pearson MP, the program will help galleries and museums in regional and 10 interface LGAs undertake upgrades to safeguard collections, and attract sought-after touring collections and significant artworks from across the country and overseas.
The program is open to galleries and museums in regional local government areas, as well as those in the Cardinia, Casey, Hume, Melton, Mitchell, Mornington Peninsula, Nillumbik, Whittlesea, Wyndham or Yarra Ranges LGAs.
The program offers three tiers of support: up to $40,000 for the purchase and installation of equipment; up to $150,000 for small to medium capital or maintenance works; and over $150,000 for larger-scale projects.
The Regional Collections Access Program is administered through Regional Arts Victoria with the support of program partners, and is open now until 24 February 2022.
