Victorian Museums and Galleries Forum 2022: Full Program Announced

In partnership with Deakin University and City of Melbourne, the 2022 Victorian Museums and Galleries Forum will be held at Deakin Downtown on 17 and 18 May, 9:30am to 4:30pm.
Victorian Museums and Galleries Forum 2022: Speakers Announced
Wed 27 Apr, 2022The Victorian Museums and Galleries Forum is a two-day event dedicated to discussing trending topics in the museum and gallery sector. This years' theme is on 'FUTURE FOCUS: Collections, People, Governance and Policy.' In partnership with Deakin University and City of Melbourne, the 2022 Victorian Museums and Galleries Forum will be held at Deakin Downtown on 17-18 May, 9:30am to 4:30pm (with optional post-event networking opportunities to be announced).
Nominations are now open for the AMaGA Victoria Committee 2022 - 2024
Tue 05 Apr, 2022Nominations are being called for election to the Committee of Australian Museums and Galleries Association Victoria for the 2022 – 2024 term. Nominations can be made for the Executive Committee (four positions) or for an Ordinary Member (minimum of three, with up-to six positions).
BUSHFIRE RECOVERY PROJECT (BRP)
Tue 29 Mar, 2022This project is establishing temporary digitisation and conservation assessment studios in bushfire affected regions of Victoria during May and June 2022. There will be an opportunity for collecting organisations and individual community members to have their precious items digitised during this time. Bookings for each region can be made via links here.

AMaGA Victoria delivers workshops in Timor-Leste

The Victorian Government has partnered with Timor-Leste’s Government since 2002, providing training and support in skill development for public service museum staff. Beginning in October 2021, AMaGA Victoria staff have been busy conducting several online professional development workshops for cultural organisations in East Timor.
