Different Timing, Same Celebration!

AMaGA Victoria and PGAV are proud to continue celebrating excellence across Victoria’s museum and gallery sector.

In response to the timing changes made by AMaGA National for its National Conference and Awards last year, we have decided to adjust the time of the Victorian Museums and Galleries Awards. This shift is designed to create a clearer distinction between the two awards.

As a result, we will be postponing the call for nominations to November 2025, with the Awards Ceremony scheduled for April 2026. This new timing will be continued annually starting in 2026. The change allows for greater clarity and ensures Victoria's museum and gallery sector has a dedicated platform to recognize the exceptional achievements within the sector.

We encourage museums and galleries across Victoria to begin considering projects for nomination. Eligible projects will be those completed between July 2024 and December 2025. Applications will close in February 2026.
